While I’m very happy to have finally found some steady post-college employment I’m sad to say this will be cutting into my tumblr time! I’ll still keep posting but my reviews will probably be far behind schedule. For instance we’re already coming around to episodes 4+ in the new season and I…

kaiyakkuma asked: Hello! I just happened to find your blog in the cosplay tag, and I must say that I really admire your work! You seem like a good person and your cosplays are marvelous! Also, I really like your Locke cosplay. Hehe! Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much ~ ! Comments like this really make my day. Just trying my best like the rest of the artists around here!
(P.S. I especially appreciate the kind words for Locke! I cosplayed him only recently, well after the “Amano Craze”, so it’s nice to still see fan support for the classics! )

I received a really delightful comment this morning on one of my costumes. I wanted to share my response with you guys because I think it’ll give you a little insight into why your favorite artists NEED your support.
“You look like one of the best!!! Why so little views!???!??!!”
“Most costumers become well-known by others sharing their work! If you’d like to show your support, let your friends who are fans of Final Fantasy VIII know you found a Squall cosplay that you really like! Then we’ll level up together ~ !”
And what I said this morning I stick by: Each of us is a member of a larger community of artists. We grow by receiving positive feedback and constructive criticism about our different projects. But if you don’t interact with an artist, they’ll never know what you think about their work. Photographers will never know they nailed a certain shot! Musicians will never know they created the perfect beat! So please make sure to show some support to the artists you see on your website feeds today, okay? <3
