Next time for sure…
(Cosplaying Lehko Habhoka from Final Fantasy XI - Wings of the Goddess.)
I received a really delightful comment this morning on one of my costumes. I wanted to share my response with you guys because I think it’ll give you a little insight into why your favorite artists NEED your support.
“You look like one of the best!!! Why so little views!???!??!!”
“Most costumers become well-known by others sharing their work! If you’d like to show your support, let your friends who are fans of Final Fantasy VIII know you found a Squall cosplay that you really like! Then we’ll level up together ~ !”
And what I said this morning I stick by: Each of us is a member of a larger community of artists. We grow by receiving positive feedback and constructive criticism about our different projects. But if you don’t interact with an artist, they’ll never know what you think about their work. Photographers will never know they nailed a certain shot! Musicians will never know they created the perfect beat! So please make sure to show some support to the artists you see on your website feeds today, okay? <3
Thanks to each of you that has chosen to follow my Tumblr, Facebook, and Twitter!

If you’re a cosplayer like me, you might want to check out this excellent article by Chaka Cumberpatch on the impact of social media on cosplay, reminding us that, while every follower is worthwhile, the total number of fans doesn’t define an artist.
That said, I’ll keep on keepin’ on with the art, music, and videos that I produce on an ongoing basis!
♥ Thanks for the support, guys! ♥

“Secret Cosplay Boyfriend” = “We Need More Male Cosplayers”
While everyone is commenting on this “Secret Cosplay Boyfriend” thing, I just wanted to say that I hope this article turns into more inclusion -and- more male cosplayers!
As a male cosplayer, I’ve been told I’m a rare breed, and this article reminds me that some people categorize cosplay relationships as “the cosplaying girl” and “the non-cosplaying boy who has the privilege of dating the cosplaying girl”
That said, if this dichotomy really exists, it’s an absolute shame! There are so many talented artists out there that are both female AND male. I would love to see couples be more open, and as a result cosplay increase in its already diverse talent base ~ !
Sincerely,
THIS Male Cosplayer.
